I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. I earned my doctorate from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland in 2025. I study human agency at work through various lenses. First, I examine how employees influence decision making at work by speaking up with ideas, concerns, and suggestions. My research focuses on finding ways in which managers and organizations can seek and implement employee inputs and make more effective decisions. Second, I study the unique strengths and competencies that employees who come from lower socio-economic backgrounds bring to professional workspaces. I explore ways in which organizations can better integrate such employees and benefit from their experiences. Third, I study ways in which employees navigate workplace power and status hierarchies. I examine ways in which employees can effectively gain status and access to valuable resources at work.

I have presented my work at the Academy of Management Conference. My work is also under review in various top-tier peer reviewed journals. In 2024, I was awarded the Best Paper Award by the Organizational Behavior Division at the Academy of Management Conference in Chicago, IL. In 2025, I was also awarded the Allan N. Nash Outstanding Doctoral Student Award by the R. H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.

I teach Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate level which includes topics such as motivation, teams, leadership, organizational change, and performance.
